This Privacy Notice provides you with information about what Personal Data we collect about you, how and why we use it, with whom we share it, how we store it, and how you can control our processing of your data. We at IDF Widow & Orphans Organization (“Organization“, “we“, or “our“) recognize and respect the importance of maintaining your privacy. This Privacy Notice describes the types of information we collect from you when you visit our website (“Site“) and/or use our services thereon, including any programs and activities offered by the Organization, products and services for Organization members, assistance offered by the Organization with respect to rights you may have and options for making donations to the Organization (such services, together with the Site, the “Services“). “You” means an individual using the services, and “Personal Data” means any information that refers, is related to, or is associated with an identified or identifiable individual or as otherwise may be defined by applicable law. This Privacy Notice details which Personal Data we collect when we provide the Services to you.
You have no legal obligation to provide us with Personal Data: any Personal Data you provide is entirely at your discretion. If you don’t provide us with certain information, we may not be able to provide you with some of the Services.
Personal Data We Collect
- Contact Information. When you send us a message through the contact form on our Site, request information from us, sign up for our newsletter, complete online forms, or contact us for any other reason we collect any data you provide, such as your name, email, and the content of your message.
- Registration Data. In order to gain access to the Services as a member of the Organization, you must log in to the account that the Organization creates for you. The login should be performed using your ID number and mobile phone number, as provided to us by the Ministry of Defense and/or by you. You can share information regarding your eligibility and your personal information by contacting us via email at [email protected]. The Organization will review your request and create a user account for you if your request meets the eligibility criteria. Minors under the age of eighteen (18) will log in using the minor’s ID number and the phone number of the parent and/or guardian of the minor. After logging into the account, you can edit your account details and enter Personal Data such as: name, ID number, email address, and phone number. If necessary, we may contact you, including through your contact details, to obtain additional information regarding your eligibility and to ensure your rights as a member of the Organization, or the eligibility and/or rights of your child and/or minor for whom you are the guardian.
- Registration for Activities. In order to register for some of the activities we offer, you may be required to provide the details of the Organization member and/or the minor who will participate in the activity and specific details based on the nature of the activity, such as medical information (including food allergies) and clothing size.
- Payment Information. If you make any purchases of products and/or services offered to Organization’s members as part of the Services through the Site, we and/or the applicable payment processors receive information related to such purchase, such as the credit card number, expiration date, full name and ID number of the cardholder, and an email address for sending invoices. The payment and transaction details, excluding the credit card number, may be retained in our systems.
- Donation. To make a donation through the website, you must provide us and/or our payment processors with certain payment information. If you choose to donate via credit card, you will be required to provide details about the payment method as mentioned in section 1.4 above. Additionally, we will collect Personal Data that you provide when making a donation, including your name, contact details, country of residence, and a dedication, if provided.
- Materials You Upload. We also collect any materials including images and/or pictures and/or photos and/or documents, including documents you may upload to the Site.
- Activity and System Data (Cookies). When you use the Site, we may gather certain information automatically about your computer or mobile device, such as your operating system, your IP address, device ID, as well as your browsing history and any other information regarding your use, viewing, and purchase history on our Site.
- Information Collected During the Organization’s Activities. If you choose to participate in the Organization’s activities and/or events, we may and/or third parties on our behalf may take photos and/or create videos during these activities and events and publish them on our website and/or our social media pages. Subject to your approval, we may also publish on our website and/or our social media pages photos and videos taken during the activities and events featuring your child and/or a minor under your care.
- Information Received from the Ministry of Defense and/or Other Government Entities. We may receive Personal Data about you from the Ministry of Defense and/or other government entities, including your full name and ID number, in order to provide you with Services, including for the purpose of verifying your identity in connection with your eligibility for membership in the Organization and/or benefits.
How We Use Your Personal Data
- General. We and any of our trusted third-party subcontractors and service providers use the Personal Data we collect from and about you for any of the following purposes: (1) to provide you with the Services, including offering services, activities, and more; (2) to respond to your inquiries or requests, contact and communicate with you; (3) to develop new products or services and conduct analyses to improve our current content, products, and services; (4) to provide you with newsletters relating to the Organization; (5) to review the usage and operations of our Site and Services; (6) to use your data in an aggregated, non-specific format for analytical purposes (as detailed below); (7) to prevent fraud, protect the security of our Site and Services, and address any problems with the Site and/or Services; (8) to promote Organization’s activities and events on the Site and Organization’s social media pages; (9) to provide customer support; (10) to contact users who have previously made donations through the Services regarding requests for additional donations to the Organization; and (11) to send greetings and wishes, including via SMS messages, on holidays and other special occasions, as well as on your birthday or the birthday of your child and/or minor under your care.
- Statistical Information and Analytics. We and/or our service providers use analytics tools, including Google Analytics, to collect and analyze information about the use of the services, such as how often users visit the Site, what pages they visit when they do so, and what other sites and mobile applications they used prior to visiting the Site. By analyzing the information we receive, we may compile statistical information across a variety of platforms and users. This helps us improve our services by allowing us to identify new trends and customer needs, which in turn allows us to consider new products and services or tailor existing products and services accordingly. The information we collect is anonymous and aggregated and we will not link it to any Personal Data. We may share such anonymous information with our partners, without restriction, on commercial terms that we can determine at our sole discretion. Sharing the Personal Data We Collect
We share your information, including Personal Data, as follows:
- Service Providers and Subcontractors.
- We disclose information, including Personal Data we collect from and/or about you, to our trusted service providers and subcontractors, who use such information to: (1) help us provide you with the services and/or any of the processing activities detailed in Section 2 above; (2) aid in their understanding of how users are using our services.
- Such service providers and subcontractors provide us with IT and system administration services, data backup, security, and storage services and data analysis.
- By accepting this Privacy Notice, you acknowledge and agree that we may use subcontractors and service providers who are located in countries other than your own and may send them information we receive (including Personal Data).
- Government Entities and Hever Club. We may share Personal Data about you with government entities, including the Ministry of Defense, in order to provide you with the Services, including for the purpose of verifying your identity in connection with your eligibility for membership in the Organization and/or benefits. In order for you to join Hever Club, we may transfer Personal Data about you for verification in the Hever’s system. If you provide information regarding your child or spouse, we may also transfer that information so that they may be eligible to join the “Hador Haba” club. Please note that the eligibility to the membership in the Hever club, as well as the collection and processing of Personal Data by the Hever club, are subject to the terms of use and privacy policy of the Haver club.
- Law Enforcement Related Disclosure. We may share your Personal Data with third parties: (i) if we believe in good faith that disclosure is appropriate to protect our or a third party’s rights, property or safety (including the enforcement of the Terms and this Privacy Notice); (ii) as is necessary to comply with any legal and/or regulatory obligation; or (iii) when required by subpoena, court order or the order of another governmental or law enforcement authority.
- Legal Uses. We may use your Personal Data as required or permitted by any applicable law, for example, to comply with audit and other legal requirements.
- Other Uses or Transfer of Your Personal Data. We will transfer your Personal Data to relevant third parties in cases where: (1) the Organization discovers that any of your actions in the Services violate the terms of use or were done for the purpose of committing any type of fraud; or (2) the Organization faces legal action (criminal or civil) due to actions you performed using the Services.
Security
We make efforts to follow generally accepted industry standards to protect the Personal Data submitted to and collected by us, both during transmission and once we receive it. However, no method of transmission over the internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure. Therefore, while we strive to use commercially acceptable means to protect your Personal Data, we cannot guarantee its absolute security. As the security of information depends in part on the security of the computer you use to communicate with us and the security you use to protect user IDs and passwords, please take appropriate measures to protect this information.
- Your Rights. Subject to applicable law, you may request to see any Personal Data you have provided to us and request that such Personal Data be corrected, updated, or deleted, subject to applicable law by emailing us at [email protected]. The request will be processed and answered within a reasonable time from its receipt.
- Request for Removal of a Photo or Video. If you wish to request the removal of any content you that you believe infringes your rights, or any photos and/or videos published on the Site and/or Organization’s social media pages featuring you or a minor family member of you, you may contact us at [email protected]. Your request will be reviewed within a reasonable timeframe.
- Data Retention Subject to applicable law, we retain Personal Data as necessary for the purposes set forth above and then delete the Personal Data once we deem it is no longer necessary for these purposes. In some circumstances, however, we may store your Personal Data for longer periods of time, for instance where we are required to do so in accordance with legal, regulatory, tax, audit, accounting requirements and so that we have an accurate record of your dealings with us in the event of any complaints or challenges, or if we reasonably believe there is a prospect of litigation relating to your Personal Data or dealings.
- Cookies and Similar Technologies. We use cookies and similar technologies for a number of reasons, including to help personalize your experience. Third parties through which we provide the services and/or our business partners may be placing and reading cookies on your browser or using web beacons to collect information in the course of advertising being served on different websites. Children
We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under the age of eighteen (18) without parental consent or the consent of a guardian. If you become aware that an individual under the age of eighteen (18) has registered without such consent, please notify us immediately.
